Naborly Inc. (“Naborly”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the personal information under our control. As a demonstration of our commitment, we have created this privacy policy to communicate to you the practices and procedures which we apply to our handling of your personal information.

It applies to the website, including all subpages and successor pages (collectively referred to as the “Website”), and also applies to all software and services that we offer, including the Naborly Tenant Screening form that may be made available on a third-party website, or other services that we offer through our Website when you register for a Naborly account (collectively referred to as the “Service”).This policy does not apply to any website, product or service of any third-party company even if the website links to (or is linked from) our Website. We do not operate or control those websites, products or services.

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Information – GENERAL Naborly collects, uses and discloses personal information for the purpose of providing the Service and the Website.We will only collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except in limited situations where permitted or required by law.
  4. Collection of Information We may collect information from various sources, including credit reporting agencies, collection agencies, government entities and legal suppliers.  We also collect information from you directly.We collect information when you sign up for a Naborly account, when you provide information as part of our identity verification process, or when you fill out a form or enter information on the Website. We also collect information when you upload information to the Service, participate in promotions offered by Naborly or our partners, respond to our surveys, or otherwise communicate with us.
    Prospective Landlords To gain full access to our Website and Service, you must register for a Naborly account. When you register for an account, you voluntarily provide and we may collect certain personal information, including the following:

    • Your name, company name, location, email address, phone number, and account password;
    • Payment information, to complete your transactions;
    • Your IP addresses, devices, and locations used to access Naborly;
    • Information regarding your rental property.

    We may request and collect additional information from you after you have registered for an account.

    We may retrieve additional personal information about you from third parties and other identification/verification services such as credit-reporting agencies. We may also collect additional personal information in other ways, including through emails, surveys, and other forms of communication. Once you begin using the Service through your Naborly account, we will keep records of your transactions and collect information of your other activities related to our Service.

    Prospective Tenants

    Naborly collects personal information for the purpose of providing the Service and operating the Website, some of which may be collected for the purpose of disclosure, with your consent, to authorized third parties (i.e.: prospective landlords) (“Consumer Report Information”).

    Consumer Report Information may include:

    • Contact information, including your telephone number, email address and postal code;
    • Credit information, including credit checks, credit references, your name, current/ former address, date of birth, marital status, social insurance number, current/ former employment, paying habits, outstanding debt obligations, estimated income, cost of living obligations, etc.;
    • Identifying information, including your name, current/former address, date of birth, marital status, social insurance number, etc.;
    • Credit reports, obtained from one or more credit-reporting agencies;
    • Income information;
    • Publicly and privately accessible information, including but not limited to information from public records, tenant database records, social media content, information accessible via the internet, etc.;
    • Rental history information;
    • Additional information that you provide to us or to our customers for the purpose of providing the Service.

    Consumer Report Information will only be disclosed to authorized third parties with your further express consent, which you will be asked to provided through our Service or Website.

    Certain additional information may also be collected in connection with the Service, including:

    • Payment/billing information, to complete your transactions;
    • Your IP addresses, devices, and locations used to access Naborly.

    The additional information specified herein is not Consumer Report Information, and will not be included with information disclosed to authorized third parties.

  5. Use of Information We use collected information for a variety of purposes, including:
    • To provide, maintain and improve the Service and the Website;
    • to communicate with you and with third parties;
    • to verify your identity;
    • to obtain, review and analyze Consumer Report Information;
    • to disclose Consumer Report Information to authorized third parties, where your consent has been obtained

    • to offer and provide you with Naborly product and services;
    • to monitor, review and improve customer service and internal business processes;
    • to audit or investigate the use of our products and services, and to investigate and prevent fraud or other illegal activities;
    • to track and analyze trends and usage of the Service and the Website;
    • to create and develop new products and services;
    • to provide to third party service providers, in connection with provision of the Service and the Website;

    • for any other purpose disclosed to you in connection with the Service or the Website.
  6. Disclosure of Information Naborly will not disclose your personal information to third parties, except for the reasons we or our customers have disclosed to you.We may disclose your personal information for reasons including the following:
    • To provide the Service, the Website and other related services to you and to our customers;
    • To third parties, to collect and evaluate additional information about you, in connection with provision of the Service;
    • To deliver data and products to direct-to-consumer resellers with which you have contracted directly;
    • To communicate with you regarding services that may be of interest to you;

    • To third party service providers, in connection with provision of the Service and the Website;
    • If Naborly is ever sold, or if we merge or amalgamate with another company, or transfer part or all of our shares or assets, we may disclose and/or transfer personal information to our successor or assign who may collect, use and disclose the personal information for substantially the same purposes as described in this Privacy Policy;
    • To investigate or to assist in the investigation of a contravention of a law and/or fraudulent activities;

    We may use third-party service providers to process and store personal information. We or our third-party service providers may process or store your personal information in locations outside the direct control of Naborly, for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers. Such personal information may processed or stored in Canada, the United States and other countries. As a result, your personal information may be subject to local laws, which may permit local law enforcement, government or national security authorities to have access to your personal information in certain circumstances. In the event that we disclose your personal information to a third party for processing or storage, we require such third party to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with our own privacy measures, subject to the law of the applicable jurisdiction.

  7. Openness and Compliance Naborly is open about its policies and practices with respect to the management of personal information. We make reasonable efforts to provide you with information about our policies and practices, and to make this information available in a form that is generally understandable.In addition to the information provided in this policy and made available through our Website, further inquiries, concerns or complaints may be directed to will investigate all complaints concerning compliance with this policy.     Credit Reports Naborly may utilize reports provided by one or more third-party credit-reporting agencies. In you have concerns regarding the content of your credit report(s), we encourage you to obtain and review such reports directly from these agencies. Under applicable legislation, you may be have certain rights to access and correct your credit information on file with these agencies.

Safeguards Naborly maintains appropriate safeguards to protect the personal information in its custody from loss or theft, as well as to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, modification, copying, disposal or similar risks.  The methods and levels of protection applied shall be appropriate to the sensitivity, amount, distribution, format and method of storage of the information.Naborly employees are required as a condition of employment to respect the confidentiality of Personal information. Similarly, we require our third party service providers to take appropriate measures to protect your personal information, by contractual agreement stipulating, among other things, the confidentiality of the information and the purposes for which it is to be used.Authorized third parties to whom we disclose your personal information must also undertake to limit their use of your personal information to the purpose of tenant screening, in accordance with any applicable laws. Please be advised however that you are responsible for authorizing disclosure to such third party recipients, and Naborly is not responsible for misuse of your personal information by authorized third parties.
